Litigation Counsel

Broken Top Law's attorneys provide zealous legal representation to individuals and businesses faced with high-conflict cases in state and federal courts and in arbitration.  The firm handles a wide-variety of matters for its clients, with a focus on the following practice areas:

  • Breach of contract

  • Employment law and wrongful termination

  • Business torts

  • Defamation

  • Invasion of privacy

  • Real estate and lease disputes

  • Will and trust disputes

  • Landlord-Tenant disputes and evictions

  • Financial elder abuse

Broken Top Law routinely outperforms its opponents by employing strategies that are both results-oriented and cost-effective.  We are not a large firm that over-staffs cases and pursues every potential  “rabbit trail” regardless of its chances for success. Instead, we employ a focused approach that includes pragmatic legal analysis and a thorough understanding of the client’s objectives for the case.

Alternative Dispute Resolution

Disputes are a part of doing business, but resolving them does not always require the expense and distraction associated with litigation.  Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) can be a useful tool for resolving disputes in a cost-effective and timely manner.  Broken Top Law's attorneys are highly-skilled advocates who routinely achieve favorable settlements for our clients through independent negotiations and third-party mediations.  Let our expertise help you realize the benefits of a negotiated resolution.

Broken Top Law meets with potential new clients by appointment only.  We strive to make the consultation process transparent and straightforward.  After passing a mandatory conflict check, you can meet with one of our attorneys for an initial consultation.  This initial consultation is an opportunity for you to evaluate the attorney, provide factual information about your case, ask questions, and discuss legal strategies and potential outcomes.  The consultation will be billed at the attorney's hourly rate.  The minimum charge is one hour.  Should the consultation exceed one hour, the additional time is billed at the attorney's hourly rate in six-minute increments.  If both you and the attorney wish to establish an attorney-client relationship, Broken Top Law will prepare an agreement for legal services for your review and signature and ask that you provide an initial retainer deposit in an amount determined by the firm based on the complexity of the case.
